The idea to create the brand "BOUDOIR À LA FRANÇAISE" was born in 2002, when Samuel and Virginie combined their nascent Love with their passion for Art.

Primarily focused on boudoir and nude-art photography, mainly Black and White analog, their journey made them travel worldwide and visit many places that developed their creativity.

They spend time in Paris, Versailles, Nice, Bordeaux, Grace, and Cassis, as well as small, historically charming towns with that typic architecture that makes that incomparable beauty. But also overseas, with Africa, Costa Rica, Iceland, New Zealand, and French Polynesia for the farthest; Spain, Germany, Switzerland, and England for the closest, technically a more overland destination.".

Virginie was born in France. She has an ethnically rich education as she spent her childhood in Africa. She did some modeling at a young age, which gave her a special ability for direction and a great understanding of what's "humanly" possible to do as a pose and not. More fascinated by what happened behind the camera, she became by passion a photographer herself.

Samuel was also born in France, where he studied art, especially portraits drawn in pencil and fully drawn cartoons. He started photography with Virginie as an instructor as well as a Muse.

They were influenced by many great icons from the prewar period to today, as well as French and international fashion and perfume designers.

The boldest decision was to focus only on a Black and White photograph and to create their image signature. That was a long process that took approximately two decades.

This fundamental change was marked by creating an adapted name, the symbol of his particular DNA, keeping the essence of beauty and trashing the extra of any commercial message. "BOUDOIR À LA FRANÇAISE" was born.
